What time period would these N frame walnut grips be made?
I am purchasing these from someone who found them in an old Heretts box. They obviously weren't Heretts and appeared to be S&W factory. They don't appear to be Goncolo but have seen some pretty plain ones. They appear to be Walnut but have never seen any even though I inow some were made but don't know when. They aren't Diamond grips either. What period might these have been made?

Early 80s is when these started, right about the time they started transitioning away from pinned and recessed. They replaced the Football cut out targets.
They aren't as nice looking as the football targets, but they work very well with speed loaders.
That set is nice, you should grab them.

Hello JR
The speed loader style stock's that you show began life in 1976. They were designed by Roy Jinks back when he worked in the service department to accomidate the use of Speed Loaders. They continued to use that style until the Mid to late 1980's time span and the later ones did not have medalion washer's on the rear of them. I hope this help's, Hammerdown

Thanks. I don't believe they have the washer.

JR - the earliest dates that I've seen the Speedloader cutout was 1980.
The absence of the silver washer dates them to mid/late 80's til early 90's (when the Factory wood dept closed).
