Default Older Model 66

I hate to be "that guy" but I bought a 66 new when I was overseas. I shot a couple of boxes of ammo through it, but didn't use it much. I am getting ready to sell it to a friend, but wanted to run the Serial number to check the date on it.

The Serial number is; #35K1058. Any help on it? I appreciate this a lot.

Welcome! Looks to be a 1978 production gun.

Be really sure you want to sell it...you may only figure out what I mean afterward if you do .

If you got the box it came in that is easily a $600 gun

If I understand correctly, you've had that gun for approximately 37 years! In my book, that makes it a family heirloom! If you don't really need the money, keep it for your kids, grand kids or whoever. As Cajun Lawyer said, that's a $600 gun and in my opinion, it doesn't even need the original box, tools, etc., especially since its only had a couple of boxes of ammo run through it.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for the replies everyone. You all rock. Yeah.... I know the older models are worth as much as the new. And this is in really good shape. No wear marks and the original walnut grips. So 1978 would make it a 66-2, right?

Thanks again and be safe.

It looks like a no-dash.

I think that would be a -1. I have a 66 that was produced near the end of the no dash run in 1976. I also have a -2 that was produced in 1980.
