Default 4" Highway Patrolman

I've been on the lookout for a 4" HP. Well I just found a good one. Looks like an honest 98% to me, a few small freckles and a little wear to the extractor rod. Super tight and smooth action. Sorry about the cell phone pics. Let me know what you think and feel free to show off yours.

Thanks for looking

Thank you
I got great deals on both of these. This six inch came home about a month ago, I added the skull krackers.

Here's a shot of them together.

Great pair you got there! I don't have a 4 incher, but do have a 6" no dash from 1960. It was my 1st G.B. purchase. Been enjoying it since! What's next? Bob

Thank you,
Put a photo up if you can, I'm sure we'd all enjoy it.
I not sure what's next, maybe a new 629 pc gun. I really like the long barreled one with the orange see more sight.

They are fine firearms. I foolishly sold my 4" HP years ago for another gun, think it was a Colt King Cobra.

Should have kept the HP!

My HP 4" is in 307140's range and was made in 1968. It is in the same condition as yours. It is my favorite .357 Magnum. It makes shooting real magnum loads fun. I traded a nice Sig .45 for it a few years ago and have had no regrets.

Thanks Paul,

These things are addicting, I'm hooked on'em.
Plus they just sip on the powder and lead.
I'm having a ball with them.

While I am very prejudiced towards the 4" 25-5 .45 Colt I carried as a duty gun in a busy SoCal city, in all honesty, I think the Model 28 may be the best cop issue gun ever.....back when cops were full-size. I sure love mine.

The K 22's and Patrolman's get used a lot at my house.
They are my purpose/working guns

There are a couple of early Pre-28's with 4" barrels on GunBroker right now and a gorgeous 3.5" Pre-27
Two of my favorite N-Frames that S&W ever offered!
