Price check. 36-1 heavy barrel 3"
Looks clean to me. At local pawn shop. Mid 1970's I think. Forgot to check serial number. Appears to have very few rounds through it. No box/papers. They want $650. Too much. Just want professional help on what I should offer. They've had it for about six months.

Tough to really give opinion from the pics. The grips look really glossy.
Probably the pics. No opinion on price of 650, other than high for an often encountered 36. Post better pics and a serial. Mike 2796

The 3" Model 36 with a heavy barrel is one of my favorite J-frames. I own two; one blued, one nickel. I think $650 is a bit high for a no-box specimen. $550 would be tops for me.

This has the exact combination of features that I keep an eye out for:
3"
Pinned Barrel
Square Butt
Nice Finish.
I'd go $500. Maybe $550 on a weak day.

Something does appear different on the grips. Can't put my finger on it. Do they appear correct vintage? I go back in the next day or so and look closer.

do you mean the nickel on the brass medallions similar to refinish or pocket wear? Nice little gun for pocket use or car, but $650, out of the question. Still tough from pics, but not a Queen. Mike 2796

The stocks might be refinished. If it checks out mechanically, I would offer $500 and let myself be reluctantly maneuvered as high as $550. 3" J-frames are sweet.
