It said "Take me home" UPDATE
I found this orphaned 65-2 at a local pawn shop today during lunch. It had been quite some time since I was there last. They had the usual lineup of pistols and a couple of SA revolvers. There on the bottom shelf, in the corner, lay the 65, the first Smith revolver I have seen in any pawn shop for a long time. The manager would not budge on the price, since it had only been out a couple of days. She said she would include the tax with the price. I told her to get the papers because I was taking it home, -$330. It's a nice P&R shooter.

I should have put a winky icon after she wouldn't budge comment. I was very surprised that they only wanted $330 for it. Most of the time it would probably be around $500 for a decent Smith. You gotta give me credit for trying.

Update on the newly adopted 65. I removed the side plate, disassembled the cylinder and gave it a good clean and lube. I flitzed it ever so gently and put a coat of Rem wax on it. Took it to the range yesterday and ran some special, +P, and 158gr mag thru it. It performed flawlessly. I have to say, this is one of my best buys in a while. Thanks for all the comments.

Congrats on a very good steal...I mean deal.
LGS had one in the same shape with goodyear's for $500, it lasted less than a week.

If I drive by my local Gun Shops or Local Loan and Pawn and they have a Pre Lock inside, I always hear the "Sirens in the Shop calling to me."
They always say "Stop, Stop, come in and bring your Money."
Sirens are kinda like that.
