My Latest - Model 29-2 8 3/8" Nickel ca 1975
I bought in an on-line auction about 10 days ago, this nickel Model 29-2 with an 8 3/8" barrel. Based on the SN (329462), it looks like about a 1975 model. It's been shot, but well taken care of with a tight action, great bore and chambers. I like these longer barrels
I got it for $690 (including commissions), which I think was a good find.

Congratulations!!
I would have grabbed it if I had seen it. I love 29's and "N" frames in general.
Hope you have some great fun with it.

Very Nice! I would have been a buyer at that price. I think you did well.

My wife walked by my office and said "that's a big gun". Then about half an hour later, said " that's a REALLY big gun...are you compensating?". Gotta love her.

Price is good. I have a nickeled one identical, down to the Thai grips. Even though not expensive, I love my grips - They fit perfectly and feel right.

Thewelshm - it came with horrible goodyears on it. I happened to have these Thai grips, but will be looking for appropriate stocks.

Follow-up - found some correct stocks I think. The color looks different from left to right side, but they match perfectly - sort of fading from the darker to the lighter color.

Yes, those are the correct target stocks for your vintage 29. Great looking weapon and you got it at a good price. Nice snag!

Nice find. Go for that nickel finish they don't offer it right now. Someday all the nickel finish will be gone. Then the prices will soar. I prefer nickel finish first.
