DOB, K Frame Snub?
A friend has a never been fired K frame snub, Ser. #C6835XX. Can someone tell me when it was born (hope I posted in the correct place). Also, any idea of a value minus the box?

Likely a 1964 gun. Model 10 or 12?

Not sure but I'd guess a Model 10, but thanks. I'll update when I actually see the gun (the guy lives next door).

Probably $500-550, either steel or alloy frame. We now need photos!

Thanks everyone, wish I knew how to post pics but no new tricks for this old dog. I did confirm that it's not a Model 12 so it must be a Model 10.

So how did you confirm it's a Pre-10 rather than a Pre-12? The pre-12 is much lighter. An unfired Pre-12 might go for $550/$600 maybe more in the condition you described. RB or SB? It does make a difference.
