Default Smith and Wesson 22 wmr question

I have a question for you Smith junkies.
In a previous post I showed a pic of a new to me k22 17-4 with an 8 3/8" barrel.
I thought I remember reading on this forum that Smith and Wesson made another revolver just like the k22 17-4 but it is chambered in 22 wmr.
I thought wow that would make a cool set.
Is there anyway possible some one can fill me in on the particulars.
Was it a model 43, 48 or something like that.
I would love to hunt one down eventually.
It has to have the 8 3/8" barrel.
Also maybe some one could post pics, and inform me of what would be the price for such a gun.
Now I know some of you guys work your vodoo and find these gun and always get some crazy deal, but that is not my luck. I don't want to over pay , and as of this moment I don't have the ( I gotta have it now) bug.
Thank you

Yes, the S&W 48 is what you are looking for. This one cost me $107.00 in 2008. It needed refinishing and I did not want to bother with it. A neighbor did, he bought it and sent it back to the factory and had it nickeled. This was a former LE evidence gun.

These are expensive now, the same neighbor bought a real nice blue 6" with no box or papers back around Easter for $650.00 off a guy coming out of a LGS.

It is a model 48 you want. Same as K22, but in .22 WMR.

The only advice I have on price is to see what others are selling for on the usual sites, or look around locally and try to get lucky.

I have been trying decide between a m51 & m48. Hoping to find a shooter in nice condition. Leaning toward the 48. Had a 650 I regret selling a couple years ago.
