Welcome to the forum! You need to help us help you. What exact gun do you have? What model number do you see when you open the cylinder and look on the frame behind the yoke?

My personal recommendation is not to convert whatever gun you have, but rather sell it and use the profits to buy what you want. To be specific, a conversion would involve finding a barrel and a cylinder for the caliber you want that can fit your frame as it is. After finding the parts, you would then need to take the gun to a competent gunsmith to have the barrels swapped out and have the new cylinder fit to the gun as well. Once that is done, you will then very likely have an issue of the finish of the barrel and cylinder not matching the frame. A blue finish from one year might not necessarily match that of anther year. As the process and ingredients change, so does the look of the finish, and that doesn't even consider the possible wear.

Overall, it would be much more of a headache than its worth, and would be much cheaper just to sell what you have now to fund what you want, or keep what you have and still buy what you want. I wouldn't try to convert it.

You probably have either an I Frame or a J Frame, and neither one lent themselves to any kind of a conversion. As Burner1981 said, the cost of creating something else will usually cost you much more than selling what you have and buying what you want. There have been some who have mentioned reaming out a 32 long cylinder for 32 H&R magnum, but that is only if you have a recently manufactured one with a long enough cylinder, and strong enough steel of current mfg.
