Default M49 1976 Bodyguard

This is the one that I always keep an eye out for. . .no aluminum, shrouded hammer you can utilize, and pinned. Today I finally struck a deal with the local pawn shop which was for $365. I don't think it has ever been fired. Looks like another dresser drawer gun. It has a tiny spot on the right grip that I will touch up. The way I figure is that I just paid right at $400 each for the two Airweights I bought my wife this year so, this is a bargain for a 40 year old J Frame. I'm putting some wadcutters in it for backyard use, and will shoot it tomorrow. The old finish is so bright that it's hard to get good pictures.

Doc, great find. I have been a fan since 1970. Still carry my 38 like a wallet in my hip pocket. That price was a bargain. Any day of the week.

Wow. That's a heckuva deal especially from a pawn or gun store. Ya'll must be buds, or do alot of business together.

Nice piece. I have a 649 that is a great shooter. IMO, the humpbacks don't get the credit they deserve. It is my favorite carry J frame.

I totally agree. My 71 vintage Model 49 is currently the only J frame I have.

My favorite belt carry J frame too. Smooth flash chrome trigger and hammer on it when purchased used.

Was never a big fan of the bodyguard j-frame until I purchased one. That one looks nice and $375 is a good price these days.
