Need Help: Manufactoring Date Early Model 60
I have a model 60 early no dash serial number ANR731x I'm thinking late 70's? It has the stainless hammer and trigger and the hammer has the firing pin built on. Or aka exposed firing pin! Thanks in advance for any help or info!

I do not have my reference handy, but an ANR prefix should be around the mid eighties.
Your hammer and trigger are probably not stainless. S&W had lots of galling issues with the early guns. They switched to forged parts that were then flash chromed for a color match
Is your barrel pinned? The pin went away in 1982.

The first model 60s with the three-letter prefix were in 1983, and yours is probably from 1986. Enjoy!
