N Frame Grip Suggestions
I don't care for feel of factory wood grips on my 57. Thinking classic Pachmayr rubber, but there seems to be a lot of negative comment about poor fit on square butt models. Is there a better choice for soft grip?

I like the hogue overmold grips for polymer grips, then basic S&W target stocks keep it looking nice and classic. The overmold grips fit the hand well and are much more affordable than target stocks

If you like wood Sile is a great in between a set of magnas and a set of targets. Not to big not to small. The finish sucks but that can be fixed. They do use nice wood.

Get a set of the older California made Pachmeyers without the medallions. They are two piece without the squishy feel near the throat that the Mexico one piece wrap around has.

I haven't found a grip that I shoot better on square butt Smith's than the Hogue's; now admittedly they don't make for the prettiest package.

+1 for the Hogues.....all of my K,L,N frame smiths that I shoot have the Hogues, have tried all kinds of stocks over the years.
The Hogues work best for me, especially in DA RF which is what I shoot the most of with my Smith's. I will not tolerate anything that shifts in my hand while shooting DA, the Hogues don't. Plus for a carry gun, field gun, hunting gun the Hogues are pretty well impervious to things that would leave wooden stocks scarred, dinged and scratched.
For display or photo's, I put on appropriate wood stocks.
