Default Model 48 barrel length question....

Is the 8 3/8" bbl. in this model common? I found one for sale and was curious.

Thanks!

Not as common as the 6" version, but a fair number of them made, mine is a tack driver.

The 4" is the rare one.

2 or 3 8 3/8" on GB right now, glad I bought mine a few years back.
With 50 grain Federals it will do 1" groups at 50 yards, 2" at 100 yards, off a rest if I do my part. 2X Weaver mounted on it.

Just do not see many around here-- this one came in a somewhat ratty box but had both cylinders. She does very well and I did stock up on ammo right after she came to live with me-- good thing. I did find after a few cylinders full at the range a quick brushing of the rear of the cylinder and under the star kept things moving along. In the field this would not be a problem. JMHO
