Default Pre model 14

I have a chance to buy a pre model 14 with an 8 3/8 bbl. By the serial # I know it was manufactured in 1949. I know its been re-barrelled since that length wasn't availabe then. It comes with 3 sets of grips, Herretts shooting star, Fuzzy Farrants and something I cant identify. I can get it for around 200.00. Also, its in about 95 % condition. I think I might buy it. If I do I'll post some pics.

Even not in original condition and the extra grips. It is well worth $200.

You mean you didn't buy it on the spot?

PS: "Also, its in about 95 % condition."

Not with a replacement barrel it's 95%. Still worth more than $200.

Curious if its a matte finish gun or a bright blue. Most 1949 pre 14s are matte.

Most K frame 8 3/8 bbls are bright blue.

If the Fuzzys are nice you darn near broke even already.

The Farrant's alone are worth more than that. Just curious if the frame has been cut for the Farrant's? You should jump on that with both feet, if you haven't already.

Adios,

Pizza Bob
