Default Nickel 19-3

My local dealer just took this gun on consignment and listed for $699.

Serial number is 2K32646, which should put it around 1971 manufacture. Looks like it is the correct box but missing the tag so not sure if it is original.

Haven't seen it first hand so not sure if nickel finish is original or not, but I'll check for the N on the cylinder.

Oxidation evident on the finish and should polish out. Grips are in okay condition and not sure if the grips are correct but will need to break out the book to figure that out.

Price isn't bad but not great. This is more as a collector piece than one that will see the range very often.

Worth the leap?

All looks original to me. Note the sharp logo edges. Grips look right. With box that is maybe tad better than market in CO

Yes. 1971. Stocks are period correct and probably original. Box is correct for a nickel Model 19-3. I don't think the price is out of line at all. Go for it!

Here's one (a 19-3) that I picked up at a gun show a few years back for just over $400. Magna stocks are not original but were on it when purchased. I know I got a good deal on this one!

Appreciate the insight Gents. I can appear rationale since I haven't seen it but will probably fall all over myself getting my wallet out once I do.

Jack: You done good even it if was a few years ago.

Good chance it's the original box as it is the larger "Target" box

Well I knew I wouldn't have any restraint. Seller dropped the price to $639 and it came home with me. What I thought was oxidation in the pictures wasn't and the nickel finish is in exceptional condition for a 40+ year old revolver.

It has been shot but not very much and was babied by the previous owner.
