Default Pawn Shop Rescue

A LGS was having a big sale clearing out its' used gun inventory before the end of the year 12/28-12/30. I picked up a two tone Kel Tec P32 on Monday for $125. Apparently , they had taken several in on trade.

I went back today and got a S&W 459 for $200 and found this one hiding among the Lorcins & Jimenez Arms guns:

It's a 10-5 made in the mid '60s. (C741xxx). Rough externally. But,after a cleaning, the action is smooth and had a nice bore. $150 plus tax......

I love it! Those are my favorites. I have two like that that I carry regularly, a 4-screw Pre-10 and a 37.

I love those rough old cobs.

Wax the exterior of the gun with a coat or two of Renaissance wax, and that one will be good to go.

Interesting find...if that S&W could only tell its life story...

Also, good snag on the P32 as well. Though some may dismiss them as junk, mine has been 100% and between the cost and size, they're hard to beat for deep CC.

I'd glass bead it till it squealed like a pig and then parkerize it in black. Black ops assault pistol.

I just added C801723 to my collection. It is a 10-6 heavy barrel in about 80% condition and at $270.00 a lot more expensive than yours.

Those are my favorite finds! I would have been out $350 with that 10 and the 459. Lucky dog!

These nice old guns make great bedside table guns.

I wouldn't change a thing.
