Default Spontaneous buy of a 34-1

Found this little gem (to me) in the correct box, guessing circa 69-71? Came with all paperwork, tools, and a second never fired 4" barrel. Also came with a second pair of rubber grips that it appears were used because the wood originals appear brand new. Just a little holster wear on cylinder and end of attached 2" barrel. Very tight. At $700 I'm pretty stinking excited!

You have a 22/32 kit gun, I am sure it says that on the end of box. Congrats.

Default 34-1

I've been looking at that very gun for a couple months. Went there yesterday and was sad to see it gone. Glad you posted pics and glad you got it. I was thinking about it to go with my 4" 34-1.
Happy shooting!!

I would have been all over that. Leaves you to assume it was originally shipped as a 4" then sent back to the factory for the 2" swap.

I was wondering about that - did they ever ship with 2 barrels? The 4" still had the factory grease in it.

I meant with both 2" and 4"?

Had the LGS swap out the 2" for the 4" barrel. Mechanicals are perfect, just some minor holster wear on cylinder and side plates.

This is exactly what I was looking for - didn't want to pay for a safe queen because I bought it to take to the woods and SHOOT. Just added the Hunter Holster for carry.

Congratulations! The same spontaneous thing happened to me. Walked into a pawn shop and there it was, a really nice Md 34-1 with earlier flat latch and diamond magnas. I even got it for a very nice price.

I picked up my 4" on a whim, too. Figured I would plink here and there with it. How wrong I was!

That little sucker goes on pretty much every range trip, and does alot of hiking, as well. Great gun.
