Just Picked up 10-7 Do ok ? S/N Question
Went to the LGS yesterday and saw a nice SW Model 10-7. Condition wise I would say about 95-98%. Finish is real nice. Thought about it overnight. Went back today and she was still there. Really like the lines and the old school look of this Model 10-7. Just had to have it LOL.
2 thing's, From my research, It has a pinned barrel, The Pinned barrels were the early 10-7's ? Was also wondering about production date of this SW .. s/n # 4D49XXX.
Picked her up, out the door for 410.00. Just the gun, no box or papers, I don't think I did real well, But she's a keeper and will head to the range with me next time, and will stay in the collection.
Thoughts, Opinions ?
Thanks, Brian

Compared to a new one, it was a steal.

Thanks Russ .. When I saw it, I just knew I had to have her !! Such a classic looking revolver. She'll be a shooter for sure.

I would have paid $525 for that gun in a heart beat. Good gun and good deal.

Good deal on a classic pinned, tapered barrel M&P revolver. Price was good too. I have seen real beaters with goodyears at gun shows going for $500.

Very nice. My most recent acquisitions were a Model 10-5 that looks a lot like yours and a 64 no dash also with tapered barrel. I did pay just over $500 for the Model 10 after shipping and FFL fee. The 64 was about the same price as your 10 but had one broken grip. I love the classic lines of these revolvers. You did very well. I don't think you paid too much.

Congratulations. I like the classic lines and tapered barrel too. $410 seems like a fair price for one in nice condition. I think you did just fine. Thoughts: I'm distracted by bright shiny things so no thoughts right now. Opinions: You did good.

Well, you did far better than just "OK". It is a beautiful Model 10 with nice blue color. OTOH, the washing machine is too bright for me....
