M-29-2 w/red ramp & white outline???
I posted about a possible 5 screw pre 29 for sale elsewhere. In the ensuing chatter, there was pro & con about the red ramp. I have a nickle 6.5 -29-2 with both, red ramp/white outline, #45612X.
Is there a definitive time frame for these features???

I had a 5 screw pre 29 that had both features you mention above and my 64-65 27-2 has them also. I am not sure when they went from red to orange.

The 44 Magnum had a red ramp and white outline from its introduction in 1956 and continues today with the Model 29-10.
