29-2 Got Dirty Today
I took my prized 4" nickel 29-2 out to my range today and had a lot of fun. Shot mostly .44 specials with a few magnums thrown in for good measure. This group was my best of about 30 rounds of specials. Don't know what happened with those bottom two. Now I get to do some cleaning. Just wanted to share.

30 feet (20 paces), not yards, but thanks. It was a good day.

Nice! I have a nickel 29-24" also that I have yet to shoot. What chemical(s) do you clean yours with?

Even the fancy ones ought to get excersized now and again.

I use Hoppe's Elite for the bore and cylinder and Flitz sparingly on the cylinder face, finishing up with a coat of Renwax.

Not familiar with Hoppes Elite but be advised many believe Hoppes #9 should not be used on nickel guns...

Nice shooting. I haven't shot my Model 29-2 4"bbl. in a while. Guess I will have to remedy that! Mine is a 1976 gun.
