Default Another Model 49 Followed Me Home

I was up north for two days last week and had a visit at my favorite LGS. I found this one in the case with a Crimson Trace laser grip on it. I didn't want the laser grip so I asked them to remove it. They found the no name combat's in the laser box and installed them. It's a no dash gun and the serial number, 7251XX, put's it in maybe late 1968 to mid/late 1969 (I think). It's a strong 95% and it's my third Model 49. Here are a couple of pics and a family photo

Having trouble with photobucket. Will try to post pic's later. Finally got it

Hi Fredo, I love that you asked them to remove the grip you didn't want! Too many used revolvers have expensive grips on them that I believe are installed by the previous owner or LGS simply to raise the price too much. I'm a slow learner...

But a 49? It's ugly, the stepchild of the J-line. Dimes, peach pits and 5-cell flashlights will catch in the recess behind the hammer and there is no reason for DA on a SD gun. Please don't tell my two 649s and one 638 these painful facts. They are sensitive and may not want to visit casinos with me. Great gun, BTW.

Stay safe partner. Check 6.

Very nice, Fredo, I'm going to have to come home and see my family so I can find another one. The 49's show up here about once every three or four years.
