Default New To Me Farrant Grips

My wife who knows how much I like Farrant grips, recently bought me the "J" frame pair of grips for our 40th Anniversary. I have put them on my 1973 Model 35-1 and the other pair of "K" frame ones I own on my 1970 Model 17-3. Both grips are for non-modified (not cut) grip frames. Both guns have full factory options and make a nice pair with the matching Farrant Rosewoods.

Those are just beautiful!

Farrants seem to fit my hand better than just about any aftermarket stocks. I've had these on my 37 since the 1980's ...

I like them. I can see how the fit makes them desirable.

I wish someone would start reproducing them. I'd love a few sets for various K frame guns.

The "Fuzzy" grips look very nice and are probably a joy to shoot with. Do the guns letter with those front sights? If so, when were they shipped?

I bought the Model 35-1 (NIB) (Probably shipped in 1973), from a dealer in CT who ordered the gun that way. The gun's box has all the options marked on it. I have no doubt it's correct. I bought the Model 17-3, used (I know shipped in 1970), (about 95%) from a now closed gun shop here in Victor, New York, and it had all the options on it (that is why I got it), but don't know if the gun came that way originally. I never felt I needed to letter either one. These two guns are going to stay with me till the end, or when the government takes them away from me. I am very happy with both, especially now that I have the matching Farrant grips for them, which fit perfectly in the time frame when they were available from Mr. Farrant. Thank You For Your Interest And Comment.

One can never have to many pairs of Fuzzy's stocks! A great addition to your collection. All the best, Joe.
