15-3 and bullet weights
Hey I just wanted to see what bullet weight you guys usually shoot out of your 15s. I just got mine and am going to use for some range use. Thanks for the help!

I stay with 158 Gr. which is what nearly all 38 Specials were designed for, and I don't use +P (normally), especially for paper punching. Longer barreled target guns may be used with light load 148 Gr HBWC for paper punching.

I load 158 semi-wadcutter lead bullets for general use. I load 3.5 grains of Bullseye powder. In one of the old Lyman manuals that I have this is listed as a "factory duplication load".
With this load combination your revolver should last many years.

I load 148 grain DEWC's as that's what I use in my Model 10's. I find the 158 grainers hit high for me in those guns.
