Default S&W 19-2 2.5 inch

1968/69 vintage.
Couple blem's but it is going to be carried.
Lock up, timing, bore all great.
Have the proper grips/stock coming.
However, these old Herrett's fit my hand pretty
good.

Great looking gun. I also just picked up a 2.5" barreled model 19-2 about 1966 vintage. It is a great shooter for a short barrel. Enjoy...

I think I'd leave the Herrett's on if they're comfortable. They look great on the gun!

I just qualified with my 2.5" 19-3 for LEOSA and will start carrying it more regularly. Have had it 40 years this past February and it was my primary off duty gun for a long time. Yeah, it's heavier than a Glock 23, a little wider with less capacity, but you just don't feel under gunned with these things. You can't beat them.

Nice Model 19! I personally like Herrett's RB grips and would refinish those if they were mine. They feel great in my hands. Congrats on your acquisition.
