The Model 36 is probably 1981. Ref the 60, are you sure you have the serial number correct? A prefix of ABR dates to 1983. Is the fourth digit a numeral or a letter?

If you are getting "both" for $500, that's a great deal! $500 each is not bad depending on what you mean by "excellent." Original boxes, paperwork and tools add value. Personally, I would probably not give $500 each unless the revolvers were 98-99% and had boxes, but I already have a nice version of the 36 and the 60. Depends on what you want and what the going prices are in your area. And how much you want one or the other. I've given over market price for nice Smiths when I wanted the gun to fill a hole in my collection or for a nice carry piece.

Thank you for the info. They are around 500.00 each. No box with them but both look like they were not fired too much. I don't get to see many older smiths in my area but thought that would be top dollar on them. I think I would rather wait for older models.
