trying to find out about this s&w model 624 stainless 44 special has 2 inch barrel model 624 sn. alb354x dont believe it been fired not sure how old it is

The S&W 624 came with a 3",4' and 6.5" long barrel. How did you measure the barrel?. Frank

Model 624 (Model of 1985 .44 Target), catalogued/produced 1985-1988. the serial # indicates app. Nov. 1985.
are you sure on that barrel length?

Barrel length is measured all the way back to the part of the barrel that almost touches the cylinder. Your photo looks like a 3".

Great guns, no matter the barrel length. Both my 24 and 624 shoot great. Both are 3" guns. Larely, my EDC is the 24-3.

the smith 624 has a 3 inch barrel sorry about that. gun shop here said they couldnt find any thing about it on their computer thanks don
