As 44s were scarce due to Dirty Harry 57s were being re board to satisfy demand.

When I left APD carried the 19 till I moved to a 459.

Had an unauthorized slapper that I carried for emergencies. I put it away when blood born pathogens and STD became a big concern. Didn't want bad blood flying around. Bugged the brass for a taser until they relented and gave me one. Volunteered for the big hit with barbs during training. Was immediately convinced it was a better tool.

I had a rubber nightstick/baton with a lead rod down the middle of it. It was very effective. I still have it but don't need it since I retired.
