Model 14-3 price
I am looking at a 14-3 with the 8 3/8 barrel. Gun has box, tools and docs, is about 95% Seller wants $650 plus shipping, plus my local dealer costs, make it about $730 or so. Is this a fair price? I don't see these revolvers in my area with that bbl. Must decide today. Please advise. Thanks, Ken

$650 is a fair price.
You could probably look for a year and if very lucky might save $100 and in the meantime you'd find a number of examples significantly more expensive.

The model 14's just don't command the price of the other K frames.
I picked up three nice shooter grade model 14's for around $350-$400 in the last year or two.
Other than that, if you like it and can afford it, go ahead, you won't be disappointed in how well it shoots.

I just paid $425 for a 6" 14-3. It has a bit of holster wear, no box, etc. $650 for an 8" in good condition with box is fair. The shipping and dealer costs are what they are. If you get it you will love it. They are great target guns.

The Model 14 has always been a slow mover because people today want a 357 magnum where they can shoot either the 38 special or the 357 magnum ammo out of it. I used to see ones in mint shape at gun shows for $400 on a regular basis.

I picked up the same package two years ago for $550. I wouldn't take $730 for it today.

A good price in my book, but, it seems a resale of 83/8ths barreled guns is a bit slow at times. I love them myself. I have never used 38's in a 357 myself, that is why I have 38's. JMHO

The Cabelas near me has a 6" 14-3 LNIB with papers and tools and asking $899.
I had offered $650 but they said no.
K-38 Target Masterpiece in 6" and 8.3"are great shooting guns if you're going to be shooting targets out to 50yds.
I prefer the 4" Model 15s and 4" Model 19s since I do all of my hole punching now in the 7 to 15yd distances.Indoors at 50' or less my Model 15-6 is remarkable.
