Default Help Identify Revolver - .32 S&W Long

I have a Model 30-1 Revolver - .32 S&W Long

Approximately 4" barrel, on a "J" frame, I think (very small grip)

SN on butt plate is 733518

The imprint "MOD. 30-1" is stamped on the yoke.

Thanks.

It sounds like you have got it pretty well identified .

The only thing to add would be that it is from about 1963 or 1964.

Welcome! Good information from Absalom above.

Just to add, all S & W revolvers have had (since 1957 or so) a model number, but they also have a model name. A model 30-1 was also called a .32 Hand Ejector, with the same basic gun starting production in 1903 and ending production sometime in the 1980s. Hope this is helpful.

Add my welcome to the above! Also, your little j-frame is a great gun for casual range use and even self defense (with the right ammo of course) or other "serious"use. It's the gun I got for a diminutive nurse when she was working nights and she was NOT undergunned!
