I have a 15-3 with 2" barrel with serial number 8k31xxx I would like to date-- Any help would be greatly appreciated. ( This was my first post so please be gentle )

Catalog dates it to 1975

The 8K numbers were spread out over three years and the Standard Catalog is not quite accurate in this number range. 8K31xxx would have been issued in 1976. Not a big miss, but I thought you would be interested in the slight adjustment.
