For Shipping dates you will need to request Historical Letters from Smith and Wesson.
Your blued revolver was manufactured in 77/78 while the nickel revolver was manufactured in 79/80

Salt and Pepper
Mod 57, when I picked this one up at a local pawn shop it looked like it had never been cleaned. Light cleaning with Mothers and a little Ren wax and it brighten right up.
