Default Rosewood N-Frame Combat Stocks...real Farrant's... or...?

A few weeks ago my wife -she was on vacation- and me walked our dogs and after that, I scrolled a bit through the auction sides. When my wife -watching me drinking her coffee- saw my reaction and hectic, she asked: "What's on with you?" and I told her: "Look what I find, I must log in to get this quickly, before someone else..."

and my better half -she has my first S&W, a M 27-2 with 6" barrel, Presentation Case, papers + tools and a Hämmerli 208 S- taking a short look on the monitor replied: "Hurry up, GET THEM !"

and I -nearly breaking my fingers to log in and hit the "Buy It Now"- got THEM:

Rosewood Stocks for the M 29-2

from -after my guess- one of the "Los Angeles Police Department Gripmaker
Connection" members: Farrant, Hogue, Hurst, Stark...?

for (including shipping) under $40. Did we good ?

M 29-2 with the "new shoes"

I think, they made a nice (relative) compact .44 package...

but what did I really get ?

(The "lost pb-pics" are now in post #8 !)

At the moment -after a bit searching and reading- I am leaning toward Farrant...but
what do I know...perhaps one of the forum experts can help identify these grips ?

Thanks in advance for all comments.

Farrant would be my guess, judging by the checkering pattern, plugged screw hole on the right side, and general design features.
Great buy!

Two different guns same stocks. They have no markings but look a lot like yours. I've never been able to figure out who made them.

Question

They are Farrant's or outstanding copies!!! Heck of a deal.

He quit the "Rosewood" around '78, and I don't ever remember a set with the stamped letters inside- has anyone else seen this?

Possibly made by his son(s) after Fuzzy passed away?
