What size k frame rear sight assembly
Is this the correct size rear sight assembly for a 6" bbl 19-4? uploadfromtaptalk1465959574237.jpg

It appears to be, but the points you are measuring from aren't very precise. Place the inside of the caliper jaw against the flat of the sight blade, (not the rear of the sight, but the blade), and then the center of the mounting screw, mine measures 2.105". The barrel length should have no difference with this measurement, but the blade "Height" will vary depending on the barrel length. I don't have a 6" 19 to check for sure, but I think it should be a .126" blade height.

I know the 19/66 snub nose has a slightly longer overall length rear sight assembly than the longer barrel models.

S&W changed the location of the mounting screw at some point as it was directly over the B/C gap. It was mover to the rear maybe an 1/8th inch. I don't know at what time frame the change was made, but the old sights won't fit the new and vice versa. Then more recently the whole front of the sight assembly was changed to round and the top strap machining changed to fit it. I think that was around 2000.
