Default Model 60 (no dash) Price Check, Please ...

My LGS just listed a Model 60 (R66XXX, which I believe is 1970-73 vintage) in excellent condition with box for $399.

I'm thinkin' that's too good to pass up.

What say y'all?

Congrats on your Mod. 60 find. If it checks out I believe you got a smokin' deal on an early model that's becoming hard to find.

I'll lend you a picture of one of mine to tide you over until you can post your own pictures.

I've got two of them. The first I bought new around 1971 and gave it to my wife. The second I found in a pawn shop about four years ago for $300 OTD. I couldn't leave it there for that price even though I already had one. Both are "R" prefix serial numbers. My daughter came over not long after I got the second one and asked why "Mom's" gun was sitting on the counter. After I explained that I had found a second one she replied "then you don't need two of them." She still has the second and I still have the first. It's the most accurate J frame I've ever shot and the first one ain't going anywhere...and the second one better not either.

That would be a steal in Kalifornistan. I'd hurt something going for my wallet. I paid quite a bit more than that for this one. .38SP, '83 vintage & no accessories. It does appear to be unfired though.

I was a bit puzzled that deletion of the pinned barrel didn't get a dash number.
