Default model 18 - 3

I recently purchased a model 18 - 3 22lr. It looks to be in great shape. I am curious as to the manufacture date. The serial number is 8K73325. Thanks for any help.

was going to insert a couple of images but it asked for the URL and they are only on my computer.

I have had a model 18-3 since it was new and it is my favorites. Probably has a higher round count than any other 3 guns put together. Not a pretty gun anymore having been taken everywhere, lost of holster time etc. But, still tight accurate and reliable.

My model 18-2,serial #K642090,is the most accurate of my 5 S&W .22's.I believe it is a mid 60's gun.I've owned it many years and it's one of those not for sale/trade guns. Can some one verify the date for me.

I have a M-18 serial number 8K97731 I bought new in April, 1977, the day it hit the dealer's display case, so it's about that old.

Now that I am retired, I need to shoot my .22's more. I forgot how fun plinking can be.
