Default Model 10-7 vintage and market price?

Is there a place to find the vintage of S&W revolvers like the one I am in question of here:

10-7, serial number 9D07xxx

It is a pretty gun in nice condition.

Any thoughts on a purchase price range for this model and condition? I am looking to buy, not sell.

Thank you very much.

Made in 1981. The dash 7 has the tapered barrel. The 10-8 was the same vintage but had the heavy barrel.

(I had to add all that extra information because the site wouldn't let me just write "1981").
