1971-72, the only years of the "floating J" serial numbers.

Default When was my Model 37 made?

I have a Airweight SPL.CTG Model 37 serial number 195649 and I would like to have an idea of when it was manufactured.

Yeah, definitely earlier than ‘62. I’d say ‘60-‘61. I’m looking for a ‘61 birthyear gun and go with the range 205000 to 275000 for J’s when I’m searching LGS, pawn shops and shows.
