I have a.45 Model 1955. I would like to confirm the frame size so I may find grips for it. It has pachmayr grips now and really needs an original set. Any information on frame size identification for other model would also be appreciated.

Which original grips will depend on when it was made. If you post the serial number, including the S or N in front of the digits, somebody here can tell you about when it shipped. If you are reluctant to post the full number, you can post x's for the last digits, such as S123XXX.

Congrats. The 1955 Target is a great gun to have.
