I think I have a set of grips from a model 49, they are the diamond grips with a # 116381. Will that number fit for a model 49 and what year would that be? I would post a picture but I can't seem to make it work! Thanks for any help. Ron

If the number is penciled or stamped inside the right stock, it's almost certainly the serial number of the gun that originally wore the stocks. It won't tell you if they will fit a 49.

Without more info and pictures the experts here (I'm not one) may not be able to tell you much, though the serial number may help.

Will they fit any other model or only a model 49? They will not fit a model 36, which is a J frame or a model 15-2. Ron
