Default what is the deal with this model 37

is the barrel canted?
seller said and I quote:
To be transparent, I tried out the gun, and while it mechanically works perfectly, I discovered that the barrel has a slight "turn" or rotation to it (something that occasionally happens to S&W's I read)
what does this mean?
thanks

Can't tell from that photo, you need one taken from the top showing where the barrel screws into the frame.

I've never seen a S&W barrel "unscrew" itself. He may mean the barrel was screwed into the frame either not enough or too much. A little bit of either is annoying but sadly not rare.

From your photo, it sure looks canted to me!. Haven't heard of problems in the vintage guns but tons of issues with the more recent productions. For a CC weapon it may not be much of an issue. I the price is good, I'd still be interested, Airweight Chiefs are cool and kudos to the dealer/seller for informing you of this issue.

I'd be tempted at that price to pick it up and see about sending it back to the mothership to retime the barrel.

I'd be on it like a duck on a june bug for that price. Except that I have no money and can't shoot Airweights anymore.
