Model 15-3 Frame Stampings
I have a Model 15-3 Combat Masterpiece made in 1974. Need help identifying the frame markings under the grips. I know some are assembly marks but two on the right side of the frame are different. One is a J inside of a triangle and another I inside of a circle. Do these indicate a factory repair, modification, etc. or hold other significance. Here are some pictures.
Thanks in advance for any help.

The stampings on the grip frame were put there by the individuals who fitted, assembled, and inspected your revolver. They are normal for a revolver made in the 1970s.

Almost all manufactured items have fitting and inspection marks. You just don't usually take the toaster apart and see them like you do with a gun.

Thanks guys.
Thoroughly familiar with WWII military 1911A1 markings on frames and components but still learning more about the markings on my S&W revolvers (other than the obvious assembly markings and serial numbers).
