-2 has pinned barrel and counter bored (recessed for cartridge head) cylinder.

The -2 began in 1962 and the -3 first appeared in 1982. It was 1979 when the barrel was changed from 6.5" to 6", so a -3 should not have a 6.5", but I never say never.

The difference is that the 29-2 preceded the cost cutting measures of the 29-3.

Values are significantly different.
