My gun fund is depleted...It was a good day!!:)
Visited two LGS today. The 1st yielded 2 S&W .38 specials.
A 67-1 & a 10-5:
The store had, literally, a cardboard box full of the 67s that were traded in from a jail. ($349). I added the 5" Model 10 for $200. If anyone wants the info on the 67s,PM me. I have no connection to the seller etc.
The 67 is in the AWY xxxx serial number range and the 10 is a C series ( C869xxx). DOBs please.
The 2nd shop produced a Remington 12 A .22 pump. A sweet little gallery rifle ($120)!!
Here's the 67 dressed up w/ Rogers stocks:
Best,
Charles

Nice scores! It's amazing the difference a set of stocks can make on a revolver. Enjoy!

I really like the model 67 and the little .22 pump.
Your Model 10 looks as distressed as the 10-5 I scored Friday. Do you plan on rebluing it? I posted pictures in a different thread on my buy and what I did to it. Both your deal and mine were too good to pass on the Model 10's.
Congrats on your buys. You did well in my book.

Had a 67-3. Was a U.S. Island Territory Police turn in.
Sweet shooter. My friends wife loved shooting it, so now it's hers.

Nice scores, sir. I love to see firearms that were actually used as "tools".
If only they could talk... all the stories they must have.
Congrats!

Prefix AWY is close to August, 1987 and C869000 is likely late 1966. Enjoy!

Nice score, I love the patina on the model 10.
Clean that up a little and it will be one of your favorites. I bet it has a nice trigger.

Rogers was way ahead of his time with those stocks. I've alway loved them! Can't help with the 67, nice looker by the way, but the 10-5 is more likely Feb/Mar time frame 1967.

GOOD JOB! Gotta love a nice 67! ( I have a no dash) That .22 is really interesting. Why can't I find something like that? I know what it is like to have the funds go dry. That is when trading comes into play. Enjoy your purchases! Bob

Congrats! Great guns and great prices. I paid $200 for my 10-5, but that was in 1992. It took me over a year to find a 67 up here, finally got a 1972 vintage no dash. The days of bulk police trade in revolvers seem to be just about over, it makes me want to cry when I think of all the deals I passed up.

Actually, I am going to leave the model 10 "as-is ". It is like new mechanically. My best guess is it was left in a damp holster for a long time and that caused the rust/pitting.

Wonderful acquisitions, Charles... Especially the 67! The switch over from revolvers to semis by law enforcement and corrections has been a blessing to us revolver lovers!! Good for you.
Best Regards, Les
