Default Dressing up the Old Girl

I decided that my Model 547 needed some dressing up, and so I ordered a set of walnut Bateleur grips from Altamont that have just a bit of fanciness to them. I've seen mixed opinions of their products, but I am totally satisfied with both the product and the service. A day after I ordered them, they emailed me saying that it would take one-to-three weeks to get them to me, offering to cancel the order if that was unacceptable to me. I was in no particular hurry (it's pheasant and grouse hunting and fall fly fishing season up here in Gunnison County Colorado), and the grips arrived three weeks to the day of when they emailed me. Fit and finish are perfect. They gave me three length screws (the smallest one was the ticket) to fit the frame. Grips feel perfect for my hand (medium sized), and give me much better stability than the original S&W Panel grips. Of course, the 547 wasn't meant as a range revolver, but that's how I use it, and today a box of 9mm went right where it should have on the target. Enjoy the pics.

Those look really good, I can see a set on my model 18.
