Finally a 3" K Frame, 10-5
I own a couple of 3" J frames, 60-15s, but never even seen a 3" K Frame around here for any reasonable price.
Stopped by the Tanner GS today and found this Australian police trade in for $350, couldn't get him to budge, 'it's a 3"', but it's not a bad price.
Came with open back Pac Grippers, so I had to dig around my stash to find some suitable stocks. These came off my 'former' house gun a 10-6, but aren't number to anything I own. A few years older than the revolver, but just the right amount of character to go with the trade-in.
Pretty jazzed about the score !

Sweet! I've found a few, occasional, sometimes good deals at the Tanner show, also. That should carry just right. Looks good with the grip adapter. Jealous.

Nice score, 3inch Mod 10s are, or seem to be getting scarce! I picked up one a few years ago on a trade. Great shooter and a lot more accurate than I am! Enjoy!

I've got a 10-5 3" set up the same way (Tyler grip adapter) - its an Australian trade in from Buds about 4 years ago and even then the 3" models were less obtainable than the 4.
As of late, I see more 2.5" K frames (66 & 19) than I do the 2" & 3" 38 caliber models.
Congratulations on a nice purchase at a very reasonable price.

Great catch. These are great little guns.
Looks like it may be an Aussie Police revolver?
A batch of them came back a few years ago.
Still have mine:

I'd never get any work done if I had that. I'd have to just sit and stare at it. Character-plus. Your stocks and those Tylers just fill all the squares. Nice pick.

Good job! I am kinda looking for a 3" K myself. Picked up a 10-5 in March. It is a 2" R.B. though. Love the way it shoots! Enjoy your 10! Bob

I traded my 3" 64 even for a nice 70 series Combat Commander. I think I got the short end of the stick. That was my goto house and farm gun.

Very nice! Tanner always seems to have a few deals hidden away in the sea of black plastic.

Sweet deal! Those 3" K frames are really nice, I wish S&W had made more of them.

Took me forever to find this one. It's an over run so that's why it looks so nice.

Very good. I have a 65-3 3" round butt that gets carried more than anything else. Love it.

I've got a 3" M64 that's ex- California Youth Authority. Its marked "CYA" (which it does quite nicely). Its one of my very favorite carry guns.

Very nice find. Those 3" K frames are beginning to get a cult following. Glad I was able to join the club with my Model 13-2. I've been buying K frame round butt stocks in hopes of putting more guns on them.

I had one of those Bud's Australian 3" Model 10's. I never accepted shipment of it. It was in OK shape, but I had hoped for better. I sold it for what I got it for, I think $340. Stupid move, as I wish I still had it.

I got one years ago from J&G. I really like it. Makes me think that 3" is the perfect barrel length for a K-Frame.
