Look what I received for my 24 wedding anniversary. 15-3 Nickel with unusual serial #
Hi I just wanted to share.
My beautiful bride bought this for our 24th anniversary.
It's the complete package.
15-3 4" Nickel S/N 15K0000!!! All numbers matching gun!
Box , paperwork , original sales receipt & a early factory letter signed by Mr. Jinks! Wow I knew I married her for a reason:-)!
Check out the serial number guys. Let me know what you think.
Thanks for letting me share.

Cool wife. Neat s/n.
Mine went to the range...once, and a gunshow...once; back when we were dating.

How extraordinarily thoughtful of your wife. Very nice. Mine has been supportive of my hobby for many years also but hasn't surprised me like this! Happy Anniversary and may you have many, many more! She has excellent taste in revolvers! Of course you know that!

Nice. You will no doubt get a lot of PM's asking if she has a sister.
Happy Anniversary.

Yes Sir, I like it! The dash three is all I seem to find around here with one exception of one pre model marked one. In my humble opinion if you have a M-10-M-15 and a M-14 (including the pre models) you have a great start in the best of the .38 Specials. I concur in the thought that you have a great spouse there!

Stu, that is a really unique gun and an unusual gift.
Also, you don't look old enough to have been married 24 years!

Forty two.
We got married super young. High school sweet hearts. The old ways are still the best IMO. Thanks for the compliment.

Well I hunted from sun up to sun down Friday. I got her this. Do you think that will suffice or should I keep at it?
I told her if she wouldn't mind skinning that one I would go n fetch her another;-)!

Congratulations. Happy anniversary!! I had in mind to tell you not to get her a household appliance as a gift. But that got preempted with the buck which was a nice touch. Not quite as nice the 15-3, but it's the thought that counts, plus you outdid yourself by offering to get her another one. The above and beyond happened with giving her the opportunity to skin it!! hardcase60

Thanks guys for all the positive comments. I'm going to pick her up something today. The only thing missing is the cleaning kit. An I correct in thinking it should have come with one?

It would have had the instruction sheet, sort of a tri-fold affair, along with maybe some literature for ammo or holsters, if made when S&W was selling ammo or holsters, a warranty card, and the cleaning tools, which would have been a little plastic bag containing a cleaning rod, a mop, a brass bristle brush, and a sight adjustment tool.

Nice gun! I've never seen a nickel 15 before. And with such an unusual serial number. Two nice finds (gun and wife)!

Gave my wife a Browning A-5 Light 20 for her birthday back in the early 70s. She did not like the golf clubs the year before. She asked if it was really hers or was it like the clubs? I told her it was for her. She said, "Good, it is for sale." I had to buy it again, but she was cheaper than the dealer.
I have lived and learned. This year for anniversary, I got her a new car. Maybe I can stay on for another year.
Best,
Jack
