27-2 Do I Really Need It?
A friend has a very nice 27-2 6 inch for sale for $750. Do I really need it? I have a 27-2 3.5 inch, a 14-3 6 inch, a custom PPC 6 inch. To buy it I will sell either a Martini MK II or a Model 37 Remington.

We passed need along time ago my friend. No you probably do not need it but what's that really got to do with it? If you like it and can swing it, if the guns condition is good I would recommend buying it.

What is this need thing anyway? Never really needed another gun. Did need another safe.

Need Shmeed!!! You want it, but bad enough to part with one of the two guns you listed? If the seller is willing to wait for you to sell one of those he would most likely wait for you to gather up the funds without having to part with another gun. Unless of course you have lost interest in them

I've never "needed" any of my Smith's. But I sure "wanted" all of them. At $750 for a 27-2, unless it was in a flood or fire, it is well worth the asking price.

own it.
The mistake you made was walking away to go home and think about it without closing the deal.
Your likely not the only one that knows it's for sale, and
it may be gone already.
I succumbed to the disease long ago, and learned never walk away to overthink it. Strike a deal, or leave it where it is, and don't give it another thought.

It is only the finest revolver ever made (IMHO of course) and at that price it is doubtful you would ever loose a nickle on the gun

Yesterday I was in the LGS picking up a real nice early Highstandard with both barrels when a couple came in with some stuff to sell she opened a pistol box and the first thing I saw was a set of diamond targets. It was a bad day for the wallet but a 6in 4 screw 27 no dash helped it feel better.

Buy It!
Hard to pass up what is arguably the finest revolver S&W ever made, plus it will have personal value having been owned by a friend. I have one 6 in. 27-2 among many S&W's, and it would be the last one to be held onto if I were disposed to reduce the fleet.
