Terrier Model 32
I wanted to share some pictures of an old S&W that has been in my family for many years. My grandpa thought it was a .38 special when he bought it because that is what the dealer had on the tag. To my grandpa's surpirse, it was a .38 S&W. Still a nice gun. Model 32-1.

Welcome to the forum! Nice looking 32-1. That's one I don't have yet. Should have shipped mid 1969.

I've had a very nice late 50's Terrier for many years now in 38 S&W. A real peach to shoot very low recoil sad part is the low velocity. There still a nice lite carry revolver especially in a Round Butt. You have a very nice Smith with that extra family history attached to it. Enjoy

Welcome to the forum.
That's a sweet heirloom in wonderful condition, and the most popular configuration. My first advice is to get some modern gun oil inside of it
Second is to shoot and enjoy it!
