Default KB Grips (Kieth Brown)

Anyone know if KB Grips is still in business? Have sent them an email, but no response. Hoping to dress-up a couple of older S&W's.

Help!!

Recommendations for other grip makers also appreciated.

Thanks,

RW

Keith is a one man band. He is busy making grips. He stays busy making grips. He makes them slowly---as does any other ARTIST.

That said, he has a web site. His site shows his stuff. His site shows what the stuff costs.

It has been said "Money talks!" If I had my knickers in a knot about getting some KB grips, I'd select what I wanted, write a check, and send it in. If I wanted some bells and whistles not treated in the web site, and needed to talk about them, I'd attach a note to the check. I'll bet he will respond.

As an aside, if you have to ask what some of the bells and whistles cost---you can't afford them!!

Thanks Ralph........

I have NIB Model 19 I picked up in '79 and a K-22 Masterpiece I'd like to dress up.

At my age, $$$ is the least of my problems so I'll take you advice. Hopefully there is still something to that old saying "Money Talks and BS Walks".

The real bottom line is Keith's an artist who has a business, but it's not run as a business man would run it. Those of us who are/were business people have to first recognize that, and then figure out a way to deal with it-----------without tearing our hair out.

Let's see now-------he has something I want to buy. He doesn't seem to give a rat's behind whether I buy it or not. Are there any books/consultants I can buy to help me with this dilemma?

I suspect the second/subsequent set of grips you might buy will be easier. He'll probably recognize your name, know you're not a tire kicker, and didn't call to waste his time. That might not be the case the second time around, but it'll come to pass---eventually---if you live long enough.

Live long---and prosper!

RW it depends on how you want to be dressing them as far as who/what else to recommend. Keith does awesome work that is worth waiting for.
I'm a guy who gets a bit carried away dressing them up.

I went pretty extreme recently with my favorite K 22.

scroll down in this thread to where a friend fixed the pictures for me.

Favorite K 22.....gets Ropers

Previously it had some factory grips I really liked.
There are some spectacular factory ones out there if you hunt for them.
Both checkered and smooth

There are a few others out there like Mr. Brown ie, Al Ange from Virginia. When looking for the “Best” in trap/ skeet leather pouches or range bags, money isn’t the object.
