Default New job for a Model 10 snub

This particular gun has been doing nightstand duty for the last several years while wearing a set of Crimson Trace grips. I took those grips and put them on my Model 19 4in round butt and it now sits next to the bed. I still had the original grips so I stuck them back on and added a T-grip that was sitting in the safe. This is my favorite setup for a K-frame RB. The T-grip gives me just the right amount of meat on the front of the grip and the magnas are flat across the back and spread the recoil nicely through the palm. The SA trigger is probably more 4 something than 3 and change, but the DA is the smoothest of all my revolvers. I am thinking that it will make a good glovebox gun. Because of the finish issues I paid $250 back about ten years ago. A good example of function over form.

Hey Fuzz, that is about the most reasonable price I have seen in a shop at retail in a long time. If you like it, buy it.

I'm a fan of the T-grip, too. All my K frames have them.

It kind of reminds me of this 1 I got from GB in March. I added the stocks and BK grip. Really the way it shoots. Bob

Here's my S&W Model 10-5 2" square butt on the left and my 10-6 4"
heavy barrel on the right. Some of my favorite holsters for the 10-5:

Left to right:
Ken Null's Super Speed Scabbard based on Seventrees/Gaylord lineage.
Lawrence 34V pigskin Special Agent
Lewis Police (What Joe Friday carried his Model 10 2" in)
Ross cross draw driver holster

Glovebox gun? Put that thing in a belt holster and carry it just like Joe Friday intended! My shooter-grade Model 12-2 looks like it's older cousin, and it is one of my primary concealed carry guns. See the one in the middle.

In my glove box is a fully loaded M&P in 40 S&W. In my nightstand is a fully loaded Sig P220 in 45 ACP, with nite sights.
In my belt holster for concealed carry is a M&P Shield in 9mm with the factory Crimson Trace green laser. What can I say? Big Larry

I have a 10-5 SB, but something about the RB models just looks right. Nice piece.

I'm partial to the square butt K Frame snubbies because I can't make a T Grip fit my hand. Very nice Model 10, probably my favorite S&W revolver model, in all its variations.

I would carry that thing in a flash... good holster and belt with a reload and you are good to go.

Buy an old 64 for the glove box

I have a Nice Model 36 that is for carry. If we had much in the way of real winter down here so I could wear a coat more often then this would be a good choice.
